Wednesday, February 22nd is Ash Wednesday.  Students wear REGULAR UNIFORMS on Ash Wednesday.  There will be NO gym on Wednesday.

Thursday, February 23rd will be a gym day (this week only).  Students wear gym uniforms on Thursday, February 23rd.

Your child will bring home the registration packet on Wednesday, February 8th.  Please complete and return along with the $100 registration fee.

The deadline for return of the registration materials is MARCH 2, 2012!  All materials must be received for registration to be complete.

Dear Parents:

It is time to start the application process for tuition assistance for the 2012—2013 academic school year.

I am pleased to announce the continuation of the Diocesan tuition assistance program called the Diocese of Scranton Scholarship Foundation.  This foundation is funded by educational improvement tax credits given to contributing businesses through the state of Pennsylvania.  The only qualifying conditions to receive tuition assistance from this foundation are that the student/students must reside in Pennsylvania and the families must meet the income guidelines as they are stated on the cover of the PSAS application form.  Please note that a family does not have to be Catholic or be a member of the parish to quality for tuition assistance from this foundation.  Awards range from 25-75% of the tuition.  However, because awards from this foundation will be given in accordance to need, the Diocese cannot guarantee tuition assistance to all families that meet the qualifications.

Given the income perimeters established by the State of Pennsylvania for the Diocesan Scholarship Foundation, we are strongly encouraging all of our families to apply for tuition assistance.  Please keep in mind that Epiphany School can only give tuition assistance to families that apply for assistance from this foundation.  Any family applying for tuition assistance (New York and Pennsylvania residents) must complete the PSAS form in order to be considered for assistance locally.

If you would like to apply for tuition assistance, you may begin filling out the form.  The application must be completed and returned to the school no later than March 15, 2012.  You may go to the Diocesan Website –  www.dioceseofscranton.org  — to print a copy of the form <or> click on the link above.  For the purpose of the PSAS form, our code is 10034.  A copy of your school registration must accompany this application.  Please note that there isn’t a fee to apply for the scholarship.  Please be sure to attach all copies of your 2011 W2 and/or 1099 forms for individuals listed in Sections A and B of the PSAS form.  Please do not seal the return envelope.  Because incomplete applications (including missing attachments) cannot be processed, the Finance Office will be checking each application before sending it out (even if the envelope has been sealed.)

The 34th Annual Epiphany Jr. High Boys and 14th Annual Girls Basketball Tournaments are in their final planning stages. They will be held beginning on or about Wednesday February 15 and conclude on March 4. The Tournament has become very well recognized over a large geographic area by providing quality competition and excellent organization. A large part of the success of the Tourney, and the reason it generates the profit it does is because of parent support. The Tourney raises over $10,000 a year which is used to support our School’s athletic programs. The bulk of the revenues come from concession stand sales and door admissions. These could not be possible without your willingness to be at the school during the event and volunteer your valuable time for these activities.

We’re asking again for your support to make this year’s event as successful as past ones. The 2012 tournament’s website, as well as links to the door and concession stand volunteer calendars, book, and clock schedules can be accessed through the school’s website under links or directly at :
