Epiphany School is a Catholic elementary school serving students from Pre-K through Grade 6 in Sayre, Pennsylvania. Since 1929, we have welcomed generations of families, offering a high-quality Catholic education grounded in academic excellence and faith-based values.

Accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges & Schools, Epiphany School provides a well-rounded curriculum that nurtures both the mind and the spirit. While academic achievement is a cornerstone of our mission, we place equal emphasis on spiritual and moral development.

Rooted in Catholic tradition, our school fosters an environment where students grow in faith, character, and compassion.

With strong parish and community support, we make a high-quality Catholic education accessible to families of all backgrounds.

Guided by a dedicated and caring faculty, each child is encouraged to discover and develop their God-given talents. We prepare our students to face the future with confidence, resilience, and a strong foundation in Christian values.

Academic Achievement

Epiphany School has earned numerous academic honors, including accreditation by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. Our graduates continue to excel long after they leave our halls—many have gone on to become valedictorians and salutatorians at local high schools, including Epiphany alumna Brooke Romig, Sayre Class of 2025 Valedictorian. Epiphany alumni consistently rank among the top ten graduates at Waverly, Athens, and Sayre school districts, with 10 alumni earning Valley Top 10 honors in just the last two years. Over 95% of our graduates pursue higher education, a reflection of the strong academic foundation built here at Epiphany.

While attending Epiphany School, students consistently exceed national and state expectations on the NWEA MAP assessments, demonstrating strong performance across all core subjects. In Math, students show advanced problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with upper-grade achievement levels well above national trends. In Reading, students in every tested grade surpassed long-term state proficiency goals. These results reflect the strength of our academic program, emphasis on literacy, and a school culture that fosters confident, high-achieving learners.

The School Day

Our school day runs from 7:55 AM to 2:45 PM for Pre-K through Grade 6, offering a structured and enriching experience from start to finish. Each day includes a balanced blend of academic instruction, spiritual formation, and extracurricular activities that support the whole child.

Students bring their own lunch, and time is set aside each day for lunch and recess where students connect in a safe, welcoming environment.

We offer a Before/After Care Program for families. Contact the office for more information.

Pre-Kindergarten Program

Our Pre-Kindergarten program offers flexible half-day and full-day options designed to meet the needs of today’s families. We provide a safe, nurturing environment where children ages 3–5 can learn, grow, and build friendships that form the foundation for lifelong success.

Rooted in our mission to create a caring, trustworthy, Christ-centered atmosphere, our Pre-K helps children discover that school is a joyful place beyond home. Each day blends engaging academic exploration with creative play, fostering intellectual, social, physical, and spiritual development.

Pre-K students participate in enriching specials including Physical Education, Music, Computer, and Library, sparking curiosity and encouraging self-expression from the earliest years. We warmly welcome and value parent involvement as partners in every child’s learning journey.
